Cherry Nut Biscuits

125 g Butter ½ cup
55 g Sugar ¼ cup
50 g Egg 1 each
5 g Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
160 g Wallaby Wallaby Flour 1 cup
6 g Baking Powder 1¼ tsp
125 g Chopped Mixed Nuts ⅞ cup
Glace Cherries (for decoration)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla essence and beat well.

  4. Add the flour and baking powder, and mix to a soft dough.

  5. Roll rounded teaspoonful’s of the dough into balls, and completely cover with chopped mixed nuts.

  6. Place about 5 cm apart onto prepared baking trays. 

  7. Place half a glace cherry on the top of each biscuit.

  8. Baking time 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.

  9. Yield approximately 25 at 20 grams each.
