Ghareeba Biscuits

200 g Butter ⅘ cup
80 g Icing Sugar ⅗ cup
320 g Laucke Wallaby Flour 2 cups
1 g Bicarbonate of Soda ⅕ tsp
2 g Rose Water ⅓ tsp

Method

  1.  Preheat oven to 190°C.

  2. Beat butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the flour and bicarbonate of soda and mix well.

  4. Add the rose water last.

  5. Roll 5 gram pieces of the mixture into small balls.

  6. Place onto prepared baking trays.

  7. Depress the centres and decorate with peanuts, coloured sprinkles, dragées, cherries, cloves, m & m’s etc.

  8. Baking temperature 190°C.

  9. Baking time 12 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Allow the biscuits to cool on baking trays.
