Macadamia Date Slice

21 g | Maple flavoured Syrup | 1 tbsp |
150 g | Laucke Plain Flour | ⅞ cups |
2 g | Baking Powder | ½ tsp |
0.5 g | Ground ginger | ¼ tsp |
75 g | Macadamias, chopped | ½ cup |
80 g | Seedless Dates, chopped | ½ cup |
35 g | Currants | ¼ cup |
10 g | Flaked Coconut | 5½ tsp |
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Prepare a 23 cm square slab cake pan with baking paper, base and sides.
Beat the butter, sugar, eggs and maple syrup in a machine bowl until smooth.
Beat in the flour, baking powder and ginger in 3 separate amounts on low speed until combined.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared cake pan.
Baking temperature 180˚C.
Baking time 20 minutes or until browned.
Cool in the pan.
