2400 g Laucke Bettong Flour
2400 g Sugar
1920 g Cake Margarine
1200 g Oatmeal
480 g Golden Syrup
480 g Coconut
960 g Granulated Peanuts
120 g Bicarbonate of Soda
900 g Hot Water

Method

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.

  2. Melt the margarine and syrup together.

  3. Dissolve the Soda in the Hot Water.

  4. Mix all the ingredients together.

  5. Drop 25 gram pieces onto prepared baking trays, allow room for expansion.

  6. Bake in a slow oven until golden brown.

  7. Baking temperature 160°C.

  8. Baking time 12 - 15 minutes.

  9. Loosen on trays before cold.

  10. Store in airtight containers to keep crisp.
