Plain Tea Biscuits

1000 g Laucke Wallaby Flour 6¼ cups
190 g Margarine ¾ cup
270 g Caster Sugar 1⅓ cup
315 g Milk 1¼ cup
165 g Egg 3 x 55 g
10 g Baking Powder 2 tsp
Vanilla Essence to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.

  2. Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl, then add to the margarine and sugar mixture.

  4. Sieve the flour and baking powder, and add to mix, and mix to a soft dough.

  5. Using a star nozzle in a piping bag, pipe into finger shapes, carefully pick up and twist into desired shape and place on prepared baking trays.

  6. Baking temperature 170°C.

  7. Baking time is 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
